NEO Carry was founded in 2012 to be the premier gun rights and second amendment advocates in Northeastern Ohio.  We are here to preserve the right of the average citizen to carry a firearm, and to educate them on the laws and safety issues that go along with responsible gun ownership.

We are here to promote the carry of guns either openly or concealed. We support both ways of carry and see them both as equally beneficial.

Click here to go to the facebook event and RSVP, click here to get more information in our events section.

Update 1-14-13

Brett Pucillo, the founder of NEO Carry has applied with Buckeye Firearms Association to be in the debut class for the Armed teacher Training Program, a brand new training offered to educators and administrators statewide interested in carrying their firearms with them in school to both defend themselves and their students from any armed intruder.  There are only 25 spots for the class and over 1000 educators have applied, but we at NEO Carry have our fingers crossed that we will have a representative at this groundbreaking training.  To sign up for the training yourself, or to learn more about the program, please

Update 1-12-13

The Stow Patch will be running a story similar to the one the Lakewood Patch ran last week, except Stow's should be much more accurate as they contacted me prior to publishing to get all of the details.  It will be a story about our "Carry & Do Not Carry" database and all of the places in Stow that are posted "No Carry" zones and the businesses that allow carry.  As soon as it is published, I will link to it.

Update 1-7-13:

Here is the interview NEO Carry just completed with the Kent Patch.  Click here to read the full interview.  We also will be completing an interview with the Fairlawn-Bath Patch, as well as having them (and possibly Kent) cover one of our events.

Update 1-3-13:

Peaceful demonstration at every state capital for our 2nd amendment rights-

Friday February 8, 2013
10:00am-12:00pm

We are asking second amendment supporters nationwide to join your fellow supporters at your state capitol on February 8th for a peaceful demonstration to demand that the rights of law abiding gun owners are not infringed and that the second amendment not be trampled.  I will post more info as soon as I have it!

Monthly Breakfast/Lunch Gathering for NEO Carry Members (December 28, 2012)

As a group, we have discussed the possibility of getting together once per month at a new restaurant every time.  It would be a great opportunity to get together with a group of like-minded individuals and discuss all of the important things happening in our local, state, and national gun community.  We are asking for YOUR input on where and when these events should take place.  Please let us know if certain days work better, if lunch/breakfast works better, or if you own, work at, or know a restaurant who would be interested in allowing a group of lawful open carriers to gather and eat.  You can email us at neoopencarry@yahoo.com and we will get back to you as soon as we can.  Thank you for your time and thoughts. More posts will be coming as to the time and place we decide!

Update December 24, 2012

The firearm carry walk in Kent, Ohio went great!  We had 9 people brave the cold weather and come show their support for the second amendment.  We walked all through historic downtown Kent passing out fliers and had zero incidents.  We went to lunch at the Franklin Square Deli and were welcomed into their restaurant.  We will hopefully be back very soon!  Video to follow shortly!

Update December 16, 2012

In light of the events of Friday in Newton, CN, we have decided to postpone our Kent walk today out of respect for the victims of this horrific tragedy.  Please take this time to mourn this unspeakable act, and to be with your families this weekend.  We have rescheduled the walk for a week from today, Sunday the 23rd.  Same time same place.  For more info, or to RSVP go to our facebook page.

Update December 6, 2012

For the Knob Creek Machine Gun Shoot (click here for more details) we will be staying at the Best Western Plus in Shepherdsville.  The address is 211 South Lakeview Drive  Shepherdsville, KY 40165.  The phone number is (502) 543-7097.  They are VERY reasonably priced and they do offer free breakfast every morning at the Denny's across the street.  I also called to confirm their weapons policy and they do allow firearm carry and they said that basically everyone that walks in that weekend has guns they are taking to their room, so they seem very gun friendly.  BOOK NOW because they said they only had a few rooms left!

Update December 2, 2012:

It has been brought to our attention that an officer in Lorain has said that if he sees anyone open carrying that he will detain them and won't let them go until everything checks out!  This is 100% illegal!  He can try to have a consensual encounter and REQUEST our ID, but can not DEMAND it!  To legally detain someone he has to have reasonable articulable suspicion of a crime.  Carrying your weapon openly is not a crime and is not reason alone to detain someone.  That would be knowingly violating your civil rights which is a 1st degree misdemeanor on his part!

Some education is definitely in order, and we will be looking at planning a Lorain OC walk for after Christmas sometime (after the Willoughby walk).

Update November 29, 2012:

Update November 27, 2012:

Walk planning is currently underway for the cities of Willoughby, Cleveland, and Youngstown.

We would like to do the larger cities like Cleveland and Youngstown in the Spring so we can get the maximum number of people to join us and cover the most ground.  We are looking at April right now.

We are looking at dates after Christmas in January for the walk in Willoughby.  We will keep you all up-to-date!

First NEO Carry video of open carry walk in downtown Akron has broke 1300 views and rises every day!

Our Kent Video is very close to 1000 as well!

Senate Defeats Universal Background Check Bill (4-17-2013)

The Senate on Wednesday defeated a vital background check amendment seen as  the linchpin to Democrats' gun control bill, dealing a major setback to  President Obama -- who lashed out at opponents in unusually blunt terms during  remarks from the Rose Garden.

"All in all, this was a pretty shameful day for Washington," Obama said,  accusing the gun lobby of lying about the bill.

The vote was 54-46, with supporters falling six votes short of the required  60-vote threshold.

3-15-2013 Senate Committee Approves Senator Feinstein's "Assault Weapon" Ban.

The Senate Judiciary Committee on Thursday approved a renewed assault-weapons ban, advancing the measure to the Senate floor where it will face intense resistance from Republicans and other gun-rights supporters.

Overall NEO Carry feels that this bill will not make it through a full Senate vote, and is DOA in the House, but still something to keep your eye on. It should have never even made it this far.

Additionally, it also sells its own line of sauces that includes BBQ sauce, pepper relish, steak sauce and red habanero hot sauce.

New Hot Spot for Affordable Weapons!

Picture

If you are in the Youngstown area, head over to Sandel's Loan Inc on 306 Federal Plaza West and have a look around!  The only pawn broker in Youngstown licensed to sell firearms, Sandel's is a great place to find a great price on guns.  The service is excellent, and the selection is plentiful.  From shotguns & rifles to pistols & revolvers, Sandel's has it all.  They even get an AR every now and again.  Most of the weapons are used but in good condition, but they are also able to get some guns new for a very reasonable price.  Infact, all of their prices on every weapon is below book value.  They even carry ammo!  So if you are within driving distance, head out to Sandel's for your next gun purchase.

Letter from Marine to Senator Feinstein
(1-3-13):

"Senator Dianne Feinstein,

I will not register my weapons should this bill be passed, as I do not
believe it is the government’s right to know what I own. Nor do I think it
prudent to tell you what I own so that it may be taken from me by a group of
people who enjoy armed protection yet decry me having the same a crime. You
ma’am have overstepped a line that is not your domain.

I am a Marine Corps Veteran of 8 years, and I will not have some woman who
proclaims the evil of an inanimate object, yet carries one, tell me I may not
have one.

I am not your subject. I am the man who keeps you free. I am not your
servant. I am the person whom you serve. I am not your peasant. I am the flesh
and blood of America.

I am the man who fought for my country. I am the man who learned. I am an
American. You will not tell me that I must register my semi-automatic AR-15
because of the actions of some evil man.

I will not be disarmed to suit the fear that has been established by the
media and your misinformation campaign against the American public.

We, the people, deserve better than you.

Respectfully Submitted,

Joshua Boston

Details of NRA School Shield Program (12-28-12)

Wayne LaPierre announced that he has appointed former Congressman, DEA  Administrator and Dept. of Homeland Security official Asa Hutchinson as the new director of the NRA Education And Training Emergency Response
Program.

The following is a transcript of Mr. Hutchinson’s remarks:

Thank you, Wayne.

One of the first responsibilities I learned at Homeland Security was
the importance of protecting our nation’s critical infrastructure.  And  there
is nothing more critical to our nation’s well being than our children’s
safety.
They are this country’s future and her most precious resource.
We all understand that our children should be safe in school    But it is
also essential that the parents have confidence in that safety.   As a result of
the tragedy in Newtown, Connecticut, that confidence has been  shattered.

Big Win for the Gun Rights Community in Illinois (12-11-12)

Illinois' days as the only state in the nation to forbid public possession of a firearm could be numbered after a federal appellate court threw out a state ban and gave lawmakers six months to figure out a way to let people legally carry guns.

The 2-1 ruling Tuesday by a 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel in Chicago affirmed a constitutional right to have ready-to-use firearms for self-defense outside the home.
